I don’t get why some people are trying to keep Digg around, probably for the fourth time now.
As if the names Digg and Kevin Rose were still so valuable on their own…

Important addition: I now have an embroidery stand. Takes more room, but seems faster for the small time I spent using it.

I've said it before, but I 100% believe that the president of the United States doesn't know the lyrics to the national anthem.

That would be something like "oh say can you seeee… and the thing is, you really can see it, not many people know that, but you can, and now much better than ever!"

Reddit knows that this DOGE guy and that nazi from Inglorious Basterds look exactly the same.

Is that the same guy who, earlier today, hadn’t heard a thing about the confirmation that it was the US who hit the school?
That same guy just knows about all that other thing now?

I love the idea that *this* US government, which has been nabbing landscapers and five year olds knows where Iranian sleeper cells are but just hasn’t gotten around to doing anything about it yet.

To your point: they have *Serena Williams* doing commercials for it. One of the greatest athletes of all time taking GLP-1s? Nah, something is up…

Maybe it’s a miracle drug, maybe… Or maybe it’s the same old careless capitalism at work.

Progress pic of the piece. The S and P are still fully done (imagine if not 😭), the M is almost done. Only one section at the bottom is remaining. Stitches are slightly uneven, not perfectly aligned and sometimes with small gaps. But hey! Progress!

Sometimes I have to force myself a little bit but no regrets. Watched a Friends compilation this time.
This is still taking longer than I thought. Metal floss is so frustrating.
Not the most perfect stitching but it will do! Does make me wonder how people manage perfect stitches…

Amusingly, one of the channels I had in mind when posting this just popped up in my feed.
It’s not completely out of nowhere because I watched some adjacent themes (LEGO), but still amusing.

So sometimes I remember about one of these channels and think “oh yeah… that _was_ a good channel!” But no chance I’ll find it again and subscribe now.

I’m constantly intrigued by how the YouTube algorithm works.
It will show you one channel a ton for a bit and if you don’t subscribe, eventually it’ll stop showing it to you essentially forever.

I wonder if it’s intentional to push people to subscribe more. But that would require people to notice…

I’ve been thinking how I’d focus on asking which of the problems politicians focus on actually concern them, which affect them on a daily basis, and highlight how they’re told to be upset about things that are just ideological.
Not that the message would go through…

The bit where they destroy the tires and leave marks on the ground to park is hilarious.

The quoted post from 9/2024… I know it was too hopeful but there _was_ a chance for ✨ consequences ✨ and it got completely obliterated.
The only consequence now will be (honest) history books. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The funny thing is that the people I picture using these gambling sites don’t feel like the “care deeply about voting” kind.

“Projected” simply sounds more serious than “a bunch of sad dudes gambled more than they really should on one particular outcome based on what they heard on podcasts”.

One of the benefits of remote work is allowing me to make some little progress during all-hands meetings.
Which actually keeps me more focused on the meeting…
I started to spread out to help keep the pattern in place. It lost a lot of its stickiness.

Same piece as previously but the P is now almost halfway done. The inside of the hole and the top right side are done.

At some point I went down from two strands to a single one and it helps!
I’m also trying to outline the shape before doing satin stitch, to help with straightness. I think it helps.
I do like the outline look on its own as well. Could be worth trying that for the whole piece too.
