The 20m band finally opened up for me here at my QTH With two contacts made to South Africa! It's rare that I get this path down to SA, at 10,252 miles away. We all know how spontaneous the HF bands can be! And, I worked them with 60 watts. 🙂

Borrowed an Unun to check out some EFHW random wire sets I cut. So far I have a 33' and a 66' ready to go. Once I get a feel for how the G90 works with this set up, I'll buy an unun and have my own. Or build some dipoles with baluns. A fun antenna summer ahead!

Self portrait using Tri-X black and white codes on the Nikon DSLR. The new codes also include some other Kodak and Fuji emulsions. I find that the Tri-X, which was my go to B/W film emulsion back in the 80's and early 90's, is the best so far.

Pitcairn Island is FINALLY in the log book! As working them on SSB is not possible, I was able to use FT4 and complete the contact! I've been chasing this station for a few years and am so glad to have them in the books!
