Don't call the cops on someone in a mental health crisis unless you want them dead.

He's saying it out loud, and has repeatedly:

He's pressuring MAGA-GOP to end voting rights, trans rights, human rights, civil rights, every right via ending the filibuster.

This has zero to do with the shutdown.

This is the guy who lied on the stand at a trial in LA, telling the jury he witnessed the defendant assault the ICE officer, when the video showed the ICE officer assault the defendant. The jury took an hour to acquit. He's referred to immigrants as "filth, trash, and scum."

MAYOR BRANDON JOHNSON SIGNS β€œICE FREE ZONE” EXECUTIVE ORDER, PROHIBITING USE OF CITY PROPERTY FOR FEDERAL IMMIGRATION OPERATIONS

The directive expands Mayor Johnson’s Protecting Chicago initiative, inviting community partners to participate in the work of safeguarding
the inalienable rights of every Chicagoan.

CHICAGO – Today, Mayor Brandon Johnson signed the β€œICE Free Zone” executive order, which creates clear mechanisms to prohibit
federal immigration agents from using any City-owned property in their ongoing operations in Chicago. The order expands upon Mayor Johnson’s
Protecting Chicago initiative, inviting local businesses and community organizations to join the citywide effort to safeguard our communities, while advancing measures to rein in the reckless behavior of federal immigration agents.

β€œWe will not tolerate ICE agents violating our residents’ constitutional rights nor will we allow the federal government to disregard
our local authority. ICE agents are detaining elected officials, tear-gassing protestors, children, and Chicago police officers, and abusing Chicago residents. We will not stand for that in our city,” said
Mayor Brandon Johnson. β€œWith this Executive Order, Chicago stands firm in protecting the Constitutional rights of our residents and immigrant communities and upholding our democracy.”

Mayor Johnson’s most recent
Protecting Chicago executive order comes following documented use of Chicago Public Schools parking lots and a City-owned parking lot at Harrison and Kedzie as staging sites for federal immigration enforcement operations, a violation of Chicago’s Welcoming
City Ordinance. The use of City resources for these actions erodes trust between immigrant communities and the City, weakening the relationships that are essential to ensuring community safety and constitutional policing.

Under Mayor Johnon’s leadership, the City is taking swift and decisive action to prevent these transgressions …

A certain legacy-media editorial board recommended capitulation in the face of Trump’s invasion, but on the South Side, we believe Chicagoans should keep standing up for one another.

When I talked to bystanders they said agents accused Brockman of β€œobstruction,” which sure sounds a lot different than this DHS claim

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.

Decrying violence against political opponents rings a bit hollow when you pull Secret Service protection from your political opponents.

Gonna keep saying this: In the 1840s, Southerners insisted that they could kidnap any person they alleged was a slave without any state or federal process. This turned even minimal process into resistance and raised the salience of the issue, which radicalized a bunch of people against slavery.
