I can’t speak for Canada, but down here, a lot of Blue States have raised minimum wage to an actual livable wage. So the restaurants are raising their prices and using rising wages as an excuse to screw customers and blame the workers. Meanwhile, the CEO’s still enjoy their yachts and cocaine…

Ein trauriges Kind sitzt barfuß und hält zwei zerbrochene Herzballons. Das Bild zeigt eine stilisierte Zeichnung eines einsamen Kindes, das auf dem Boden sitzt und zwei herzförmige Ballons hält. Das Kind hat graue, struppige Haare, die ihm teilweise über die Augen fallen, und seine Augen sind geschlossen, was einen Ausdruck von Nachdenklichkeit oder Traurigkeit erzeugt. Wibke atmet tief durch. Heute spürt sie, wie Loslassen gleichzeitig schwer und notwendig ist. Ein kleiner Stich im Herzen, doch sie weiß: Schmerz zeigt nur, dass etwas wichtig war. Und irgendwann fühlt sich der Platz, den es freimacht, wieder leichter an.

Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Cartoon-Mädchen mit Werkzeugen, das fragt, was es heute reparieren soll. Das Bild ist eine bunte, humorvolle Zeichnung auf weißem Papier mit einem leichten grauen Schattenwurf darunter. Im oberen Bereich befindet sich eine Sprechblase mit handgeschriebenem Text in grauer Tinte, der lautet: "Und was reparieren wir heute kaputt?". In der rechten Hand hält das Mädchen eine grüne Bohrmaschine, die sie nach vorne richtet. In der linken Hand hält sie einen silbernen Hammer, dessen Kopf nach unten zeigt. Die Werkzeuge sind detailliert gezeichnet und in lebendigen Farben gehalten.

„So, ihr wandelnden Fehlkonstruktionen — Wibke ist wieder am Start. Werkzeug scharf, Laune stumpf. Wer von euch hat diesmal wieder irgendwas glorreich gegen die Wand gefahren, das ich retten soll? Kommt schon, traut euch. Ich brauch was zum Drüber‑Augenrollen. Und vielleicht zum Draufhämmern.“

Taco Bell used to give you a MUCH bigger bang for your buck. Why do you think it had such a huge following with stoners and college students? I know when I was in school still, Taco Bell’s value menu was my best friend! A dollar took ya a hell of a lot farther 20yrs ago I tells ya!

It was some angle where Wendell went insane (LITERALLY!!!) and the other two bakers and some kids went after him. But yeah, I guess the other bakers got arrested or something because they did indeed disappear! Maybe @cerealscott.bsky.social might know about the whereabouts of the other bakers?

I’m surprised theater owners didn’t take the extra step of throwing pies at the audience for the 3D shorts! XD
