As physically & mentally tired as I am, I have to admit I’m enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would be.

It’s nice to be learning things that don’t involve typing on a computer. 😀

Whew. Those are just the highlights. We covered a ton of material today.

3 more days of this. Tomorrow will be the longest day since we have an evening session to perform a night rescue.

We listened to lung sounds. We practiced applying tourniquets, commercial and improvised. We practiced applying a sling & swathe to a patient. We performed focused spine assessments. And we practiced transporting a spinal injury patient in a rescue stretcher.

I treated patients with (fake) broken clavicles from various accidents and a likely spinal injury due to slipping on wet rocks.

I experienced & was treated for the following fake injuries: laceration of the right forearm, mild head injury from a rock with nausea & isolated vomiting, mild shock, and right side abdominal injury from a mule kick.

Day 2 of the WFR course is done and I am absolutely wiped.

I gave myself some chill time this evening, without anything study-related. My youngest cat held court in her usual evening spot, to the left of me on the bed.

Mayor Z needs to franchise his brand into Chicago.

Online content is done! I'm officially done with the required preparatory classwork for the in-person class. Unofficially, I still have lots more reading and flash card making to do.

It's Thursday evening and I'm nearly done with the third module. Still have lots of reading to do in the next five days. And flashcards. I don't have enough flash cards.

But I did take a break today to learn the basics of a new-for-me (but Viking Age old) fiber craft with my lovely new lucet.

Jokes aside, the Penis Museum is quite easy to find.

Crappy work day. Taking a break from studying this evening. I’m 2+ online modules through 3 total but behind in the reading. Hoping to complete module 3 by Thursday so I can catch up on the reading and work on my s/s-treatment-evac flashcards.

Yeah. It’s all just so fucking stupid.

Welp, here we go.

Today was a good study day. Made some solid progress through the environmental illness content. I may or may not have purchased an EMT textbook.

This is a monumental shift in global politics, and whatever you think about Iran's government, it's probably not good for the world as a whole that the US gets away with killing world leaders it doesn't like.

The people of Minnesota vote for representatives to Congress.

Minnesota Reps. and Sens. were in DC, representing their constituents, when Congress passed laws using proper procedure that allocated Medicaid funding.

The president breaking those laws violates the fundamental compact of the republic.

One would think that this would merit an emergency convening of all Blue state governors, Attorneys generals and Congressional representatives. It's a declaration of war on one state which means they'll do it to others too.
