It seems so awful that I wonder if it's true. I know I saw it at that age, but I had careless older siblings, I guess that I must have watched it at home.

We watched Threads in grade six, the whole class. Seems more than a little bit fucked up to do that to a bunch of eleven year olds.
And When The Wind Blows was my favourite graphic novel after Fungus the Bogeyman.
Gen X, counselling? Hah, who needs it!
The refinery in Brisbane produces high sulphur fuel that is no longer able to be sold in Australia. The government has temporarily removed fuel/air quality restrictions so this worse quality fuel can be sold in Australia.
Melbourne St Kilda isn't going to concern anyone.
I mean I've been convinced it was bowel cancer before remembering the roast beetroot multiple times before.
(well ackshually - timbertop was post-Rupe, & Charlie was an assistant master there (rentapom) for one term, but I'd credit Gordonstoun as a brutal nasty place more than anything sooty ever dealt with).
Canavan was raised in Brisbane's southern suburbs and holds arts and economics degrees from the University of Queensland. Prior to entering parliament he worked as economist for the Productivity Commission, as an executive at KPMG and as chief of staff to Nationals senator Barnaby Joyce.
Sooty the "calf wrestler"
But mah laws! Zip it.
If you accidentally click on it while trying to get it to fuck off, well that's an engagement matrix tick! See, people are using AI, people love AI! We're a growth stock!
I think a few studies have shown that they're utterly useless for anything other than shooting prisoners/deserters/traitors/spies.
That'll be me!
Looks like the threat of Iranian attacks on US soil is going to require no black or brown people voting in November.
No mention in the article whether the inspections are value for money, what the actual problem is, whether there are scammy vendors or what. CBA on regulations be damned.
Anyway, might move into this pre-retirement. Easy money, gotta rent-seek like everyone else.
Damn. I remember keeping my jacket on during job interviews, this is foul.

So the USA is running out of important stocks of missiles fighting against Iran, the ~36th largest economy in the world.
Does anyone need reminding that China's economy is (PPP basis) *larger* than the USA's?
(because we don't have a big mining sector).
Suspect that he's just an idiot who heard about oil but was too incurious to care about practical differences. US big oil isn't interested.
That and working at the Weekly Times are the direct paths to Nat preselection in Vic.
Venezuelan oil is apparently too crap to be refined. In Venezuela they need to reinvest in refineries, the only other country able to process it is China. Anyway that's just what I read.
It's a funny way to make a phrase go from kinda marginal to absolute front and centre.
Also kudos (for once) to channel 7 for presenting this fairly.
Not quite, these days it's easier to make an old dumb bomb into a semi-smart one with upgrades. These are much bigger, less accurate, and have to be released much closer. Chance of killing kids much higher, but it's not like carpet bombing.
100% this.
Teacher's next comment: "just don't sing that you want to shoot heroin through the eye, please".
I only caught the ABC news bulletin this morning, and it said "he complained about the pay", which led me to the entirely wrong conclusion.
Probably running out of cruise missiles.
Most of the fertilised eggs people are super amateur. I only recently found a semi-professional one. Good luck!
I don't know about duck eggs, but for chooks they can go up to ten days cool before a broody hen starts the incubation process. Once started then they need steady warmth. If your first six days intermittent heat triggered the internal process then I imagine you're a bit stuffed.
My experience as a Melbourne gamer (retired, not grognard status) was always that it was full of queers, freaks and neurodivergents and nobody ever had a problem with any of that. We just couldn't abide rules lawyers (and some needed to be told to wear deodorant).
