I picked up this collection after reading Thomas Ha’s wonderful “window boy” last year. I’m only partway through reading the collection but can confirm that the first three stories are bangers. Ha has a knack for weird, surreal, and psychologically complex storytelling.

My post #WorldCon plane book was Anne de Marcken’s It Lasts Forever and Then It’s Over- a literary zombie novel using undead bodies as a metaphor for grief. It's short, spare, & poetic, with allusions to Judith Butler & Djuna Barnes.

Liked it. Not sure I got everything it was doing on this read.
