Now, to be clear - if the #Bucks still plan on keeping a championship expectation - trading Giannis is a bad idea.
Entertaining a deal perhaps indicates that. So if THAT is indeed the case, stripping whatever franchise or franchises of the most amount possible is literally Horst’s job.
2. The concept of “the Bucks should do right by Giannis.”

That ship left the station in 2021 but also because the franchise has spent nearly a BILLION dollars in salary & taxes and traded picks out to ‘31 to “do right” by him IN MILWAUKEE.

1. Jon Horst has made 2 major trades in his time as GM. Anyone hear ANYTHING about Jrue Holiday & Damian Lillard until it was done?

It almost feels like certain members of the media are very invested in making sure the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors stay not just alive but front and center.
Like, to be clear, I personally don’t care: I cover the #Bucks regardless who is on the team.
But I also am rooted in, you know, some form of reality.
And just saying, yeah, “trade a top 3 player in the world” over trying ANY other possible solution makes no sense in business or basketball.
Like, in strictly basketball terms, it makes zero sense.
There are no questions or concerns over who built the roster or who is coaching the roster?
It’s just, “the #Bucks are bad this year & therefore should doom themselves to being bad” because that dude should be elsewhere in their minds.
I find it interesting that the “only” solution for the #Bucks in this, their first poor season in a decade, by national basketball & non-basketball talkers, is to trade the one guy that can most quickly return them to winning.
It’s not like there could be any number of other things to do first 🤔
