it’s funny to me when the cards are really literal. sometimes you’re going through a period when you’re like, everything is shitty out there & i feel like shit about it! and the cards are like, “yeah!”

ha! the vibes have been heavy & this card usually reflects that. it could also be about what’s coming to an end, what feels like a failure, what feels like a burden that’s too heavy to carry (especially mentally). but if you’re at the end of a cycle, another one is right behind it!

the only way i know how to survive these times is to grieve without giving over to despair and then get to work. and i think everyone in the culture space has good work to do right now.

i am not in any way downplaying the seriousness of what happened today, but: i believe in the creativity of people who work in media & i believe new and interesting and hopefully more equitable publications and businesses will come out of this moment.

we have such a massive elite impunity problem in this country
