I have Kindle Unlimited for 3 months time to get my $5.00 worth and read the books on my wishlist. The next four reads:

I'm trying to sleep but Zeus has set up camp in the middle of my (twin) bed. My butt is on the edge and he's trying to scoot over to push me off.

Anyway I started reading no such thing as magic book 24? Of the Blue Moon investigations series by Steve Higgs. And it's wonderful diving back into a massive series. Like visiting an old friend.

Last night I made her a small salad. She got all snippy he can't eat salad. I said I didn't make it for him. She's the one who bought a Costco size thing of lettuce and tomatoes. WTF am I supposed to do with them? I feel like poo and it's making me grouchy.

You know what is really fun about cooking in this house? All our meals were frozen for 3 people and then my MiL moved her brother in, who has no teeth. JK it isn't fun at all. 1 pack isn't enough 2 packs is too much and goes to waste. His food has to be mushy. I hate cooking now.

Hmm. Those cheddar chive scones I got from Costco are being recalled. I ate the lion's share I wonder if that is what has made me so sick. My taste buds and smell are whacky after having covid last Christmas.

Aw they are behaving for once. The black boy (14) is mostly outdoors (his demand), and Zeus (2) of course is an indoor only bully. It's nice to see them laying down together in peace.

It is so cold out my outdoor boy who HATES being in the house.. is currently in my bed under the blankies.

Everyone on the island can blame this snow warning on my MiL. She dead ass said, "We won't get any more snow this year, you can take the sand bags out of the truck". I turned around and said you just cursed us. Not even 5 hours later... Snow warning.

Welcome to DLST! Today was the first day I woke up on my own without Zeus screaming and pushing me. I'm still sick and feel exhausted but it was a nice morning. Making some pork and rice soup today. Its the only food I can even think about. Being sick is the worst.

I tried to watch the American Cup but the international feed is terrible. Only showing one routine. That game show announcer guy has got to go.

Im not feeling very good today so i waited until 1pm and made some banana buttermilk pancakes with an apricot jam glaze. I'll make chicken wings, kraft dinner, and some sort of veggie for everyone else to have for dinner.

I haven't had an asthma attack for awhile but I just had a bad one thanks to my MiL's brother. He knows I'm sensitive to smoke and he came in the house reeking of it. He's already got brain and lung cancer. If he wants to die faster sign up for M.A.I.D.
My lungs and throat hurt so bad now 😢

I'm not very far into book 3 but its back to those book 1 feelings. I want to read more right now but I have a headache and gymnastics starts in a few minutes.

I just finished book 2: Firebreak. I had some trouble getting into this one. Again not because it isn't good. I think it was the relationship squabbles without giving too much away. Not my thing but I powered through it and the twists n turns oh my. Starting book 3 Rats.

A hearty fuck you to the CRA today. Thanks for waking me up at 1:30am to tell me i can e-file the taxes that have already been filed. Assholes.

So uh today is the last day for season two paradise. Yikes I was not prepared.

What a good news day:
*My MiL sold her camper trailer (NO MORE FREELOADERS living outside my bedroom window).
*Last time change in B.C.
*Filed our taxes (first time doing taxes in Canada for me)
*Fixed fantasy team (yes again)

is bad or anything. It just hasn't grabbed me the way the first book did. As a reader I realize that not every book (especially every book in a series) is going to have that "can't put it down feeling". Still a good book. Still worth reading. I'm only about 40% in. A lot can and will happen!

Done with my LA stuff for the day. Reset is tomorrow. Dinner is Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli with Pork in an Alfredo Sauce. I guess I'll spend the day reading Firebreak (Castaways book 2). I've had a little bit of trouble clicking with this book, but I'm getting there. And that is not to say the book
