Saturday! That means it's D&D, and we're discovering the changes made to the D&D Beyond. Utterly unnecessary and unhelpful interface changes! Did Microsoft buy WotC?

Ah, but that's key - the Lost Causers don't think they're defending pro-slavery movements. They keep trying to insist that the war was about States Rights and Economics and Defending a Way of Life - not about Slavery. (which is nonsense, since the system of slavery underpins the rest.)
If we MUST return to the 'Verse, give us a different ship in a different place with a different crew and a different aesthetic. A Next Generation type situation.
Warm is good, but we need some cold nights yet to get the maple sap flowing...
Oh wait - I scrolled further down and now see the full context. Not quite a reboot of the RPG, but the next best thing.
wait - isn't the Leverage system already Cortex? Cortex Plus rather than Prime, but very similar, no?
House Goats is my electronic dance music Mountain Goats cover band...

Artillery officer, then itinerant worker, then plant biologist.
And, on the other side, accountant, then some sort of quartermaster in India, and then an accountant again.

Ooo, new pillows? Much excite!
Is it just for NYC?
_American Hero_, by Larry Beinhardt, the book the movie was based on, purported to present evidence that the First Gulf War was a deliberate collaboration between George H.W. Bush and Saddam Hussain to buoy each of their flagging political positions. It was very "this is fictional, or is it?".
Cool! There was a time travel tv show by the same title - surely there's no connection...
I don't know CoNTINUUM - tell me more?
I mentioned Noblis to a player, many years ago, and they immediately went and found a copy. It's... it's something else, for sure.
the cover of Viviana Valentine Goes Up the River

Not related to comics, but I often think this sort of thought when car companies say "we're not making station wagons because consumers don't want them," or when college presidents say, "we're only offering online courses because students want them." You can't buy what isn't available for sale ...
re: hockey, Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest boxers ever to live, gave up three years in the prime of his life β years in which his fighting would have been at peak; actual money incalculable β rather than fight in an unjust war, so noping out on grandpaβs burger bash should be an easy choice
Oooo - it's a Masterpiece Theater production. Well. That actually makes me more interested - @ltimonin.bsky.social, we still have our PBS subscription, right?
Hey @rendernev.bsky.social - it's Wentworth the Returning!
The afternoon - less pretty. A lot of the snow had blown off the trees and wires, and the background music was piledrivers - almost certainly from Cornell.
Several deciduous trees along a road, with electrical wires in the foreground. Everything is covered with a layer of fluffy white snow, but the road is clear.
This was my view this morning for crossing guard duty. And, you can't hear a picture, but there's a carillon of bells in the background; either a church or Cornell, I'm not sure. Very pretty!
Oh, that would be an excellent bit of character motivation...
We're playing 5e, but I'm open to any and all interpretations
I'll take any suggestions, some of them might turn out to be true. (My players follow me, so some of the suggestions might turn out to be false also...)

One of the books they looked at suggests that you can safely STEAL Shadowfell food, but you can't eat anything offered to you. The other books didn't offer any loopholes on the food thing, just don't eat any.
What other rules might exist in the Shadowfell, the collective land of the dead? 2/3

So, I just dropped my players into the Shadowfell. The Shadowfell has rules. One is, don't eat anything that's offered to you. One of the books they looked at suggests that you can bring food in with you, as long as you don't stay too long (the food will shift to Shadowfell food). 1/3
