I think I misunderstood your original post, sorry.
I had to grind more in Soul Silver than any other Pokemon game (except maybe Emerald). Is that where the extra hours came from?
Great write-up. One thing I'll say: no matter what I think of reactivity between games in general, it's not a promise that I think can be abandoned lightly once established as a feature of a series, painful or no.

I tried this to see if it would have less of a shiny finish in hot weather than my regular sunscreen. It dried way too matte for my skin where it felt uncomfortable. I think it would be fine for normal skin, not dry.
