Love when the son comes home and we have time for a movie. Suggestions were Phantom of the Paradise, Once Upon a Time in China, or Amadeus.
We went with Amadeus. Been a long while. Settled in, cocktail in hand.

The Pope of Greenwich Village After Hours Ghostbusters II Exhumation
Some 80s revisits and a keeper from Korea. Damn but I love After Hours.
#LastFourWatched @letterboxd.social
Less a judgement call than an observation but rewatching The Pope of Greenwich Village.
A Micky Rourke showing how he was primed to be a generational movie star movie.
After Hours rewatch last night.
Late eighties and nineties I was in the restaurant industry and saw a lot of weirdness so always loved that aspect of the movie in particular.
Guess thatβs why it plays a little darker thirty years later. But not in a bad way.
buried lede: the government wants $50 billion more of your money to fund war, on top of the $85 billion of your money senators of both parties just handed ICE, on top of $153 billion of your money the Department of Defense plans to spend this year although it was originally allocated for five years
Time to go away. Just awful.
Wife and I finished an Only Murders and Ghostbusters II popped up as I was exiting out.
I just need to chill and be entertained right now and itβs working out just fine.
Hope you have the evening you need.
Art by George Wilson who mustβve had a deal with the devil he supplied so much cover art for Dell and Gold Key.
Never read it and put on my Kindle list just a few days ago. Guess this is my sign to purchase.
A little love for the back in the day smaller publishers.
Iβd say youβre coming across as kind and genuine.
Last year or so, started it way too late and never finished.
So basically a first watch for McCabe and Mrs Miller.
I DID NOT HIT HER! I DID NOT!
I loved this book. Doug Moench with Mike Ploog followed by Tom Sutton on Terror on the Planet of the Apes. Sutton also supplied the art for the Future History Chronicles also by Moench.
Moench took the foundational elements of the movies and went to town with the world building.
Drop some CREATURES
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
Anybody check Barron for bone spurs?
the former host of celebrity apprentice and the former host of fox & friends weekend are launching bombs and destabilizing the world for generations all because voters decided their biggest issue was a trans kid playing jv tennis with their friends 4 states over
Post a Jedi... wrong answers only:
Turned into a third entry night. Last Crusade done and next up Star Trek III: The Search For Spock.
βNazis. I hate these guysβ
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Flavacol popcorn seasoning
I use a popper with coconut oil and have very on purpose never read the ingredients in this orange colored popcorn gift.
Such a talent. Collaborated on sooo many of the books I love.
Had Hakka Chow noodles last night. Whiskey in the cup. After an Only Murders with the wife a JFC influenced watch of Last Crusade. Listened to the Temple of Doom episode today after a recent rewatch.
Have a great night and the weekend you need.
As a Deadhead let me tell you I havenβt seen Heads described like this in forever and Iβm here for it.
Also, fuck Hegseth and those too numerous to list.
I remember thinking how his Reagan movie tanked so hard that few bothered to critique and zero commentary on its veracity.
A Simple Plan Gaslight If I Had Legs Iβd Kick You Tenement
#LastFourWatched @letterboxd.social
Was sure Iβd seen A Simple Plan and turns out I hadnβt so that was last nightβs watch. Raimi in great form.
Bill Paxton. Man, that one still hurts. Such a gift.
