Well, Caravaggio was hardly a saint was he? Yet he produced some of the most sublime paintings the world has ever seen. There are lots of great artists, living and dead, ‘flawed’ to despicable. One could sum it up in the phrase ‘love the work, hate the jerk’ but there’s lots more to it than that!
