There are no adults in the room. All our leaders are corrupt, comprised and weak. They dare not stand up to this madman. They are not leaders, they are weak puppets of the rich and powerful.

There is something far worse than an unhinged madman, in charge of the most powerful military machine, the world has ever seen. That's when that unhinged madman, is a total incompetent, and has no idea what he's doing.

All the world leaders need to get together and speak with one voice, saying to the US, sort this out, you need to remove your insane president from office, or we're going to isolate the US..This isn't just another despot starting a war. It was started by an unhinged INCOMPETENT madmen.

But worst of all, whilst none of the former US allies, went anything to do with this shit show, none of them will stand up and say the obvious, that Trump is an unhinged lunatic, for fear of repercussions. They're going to let Trump take us to a very dark place.

Trump and his regime of incompetent sycophants, and Trump's war criminal ally, are contrary to their lies and bluster, up shit creek, without a paddle. Utterly clueless about how to extract themselves from this mess, and lambasting their former allies, for not joining them.

There's a simple reason no previous US President has tried this, even though the Iranian regime was a thorn in the side to them. It isn't because they were weak, like Trump and his puppets claim. It's because they weren't insane.

To anyone with their head screwed on the right way, it should have been obvious than an aerial bombardment, even one that killed Iran's spiritual leader, wouldn't cause regime collapse, because there's no historical precedent for this.

Now, Trump has put the world in immediate danger, by starting a stupid reckless conflict, he doesn't know how to get out of. Where he is just making up shit as he goes along. He bet the whole house on the Iranian regime collapsing, and thought he could just leave the mess behind and walk away.

This is how corrupt our society is, that the rich and powerful, will ignore any danger, to advance their own personal wealth and power agenda. It's a miracle that Trump didn't kill us all a long time ago. He is monumentally incompetent, as well as insane.

These are all the features of a severe personality disorder, so severe, that normally an ordinary person would be detained in a secure psychiatric hospital for public safety. But all this has been ignored, because of the kudos that comes from sucking up to the most powerful man on Earth.

Since Donald Trump was first elected in 2016, US politicians, Western leaders, the media in and out of the US, have turned a huge blind-eye to the self-evident fact, that Trump is a pathological liar, an extreme narcissist, highly impulsive, certifiably insane.

Through his stupidity, Trump has started something he can't finish, and he is not in control of. Trump attacked Iran, which now looks like, is prepared for a long drawn out conflict, which Trump doesn't want as all but Israel has abandoned him, and he will be seen as the cause of recession.

If Trump tries to bullshit his way out of this situation, saying he's won and defeated Iran, is going to last until Iran attacks Israel or US tankers. Which will draw Trump right back in. It seems that Iran is quite happy for a long conflict, and Trump isn't.

Vague and contradictory Trump says Iran war β€˜won’, but not β€˜won enough’ After oil prices surged on Monday the US president sought – and failed – to offer a clear vision for when the largest US intervention in the Middle East in years will end

Trump's claim that the war is nearly won against Iran, seems to be more about trying to quell rising oil prices than a realistic prospect. As I said earlier, the key dynamic which says Trump isn't in control, is Iran's willingness to carry on.

Exactly, they would have nothing to do with a pleb like me. I was just pointing out, that I am not motivated by personal animosity to them, and just think billionaires shouldn't be allowed to exist i.e. it should be impossible for an individual to accumulate that level of wealth.

This was not a conflict that had to happen, and previous US presidents didn't do this, because they weren't as monumentally stupid as Trump. They realized that an aerial bombardment of Iran, would not defeat the regime, and cause global chaos. But Trump is the stupidest president ever.

But on the face of it, the only way Trump could defeat the Iranian regime is via an invasion. The only alternative, would be for Trump to use nuclear weapons at scale, which would see the US/Trump regime being seen as one of the most evil regimes in history.

Killing Iran's spiritual leader, and much of the leadership, may have seemed like a good flex by Trump to prove his might. But it really provides the Iranian regime, a motive to seek bitter revenge. Trump doesn't want to invade Iran, because it would be a bloodbath.

If Trump tries to walk away from this, and Iran pounds US allies in the region, with missiles and drones, Trump is going to look stupid, in claiming he has defeated Iran. So he will have to either continue this conflict, or to do something extreme, which will have huge blowback to the US.

Trump expected to walk away, and say, that taught them a lesson, and expect Iran to be cowed into obedience and subservience to the US, after the US military pounded them. But Trump fundamentally misunderstood the nature of the Iranian regime, which is not cowed, as Trump the stupid expected.

But Iran is not Venezuela. I am not in the slightest bit sympathetic to the Iranian regime, only to the Iranian people, being abused not just by their regime, but Trump and Netanyahu.

I am talking about the dynamics of this.

Middle East crisis live: Trump claims Iran war will be over β€˜very soon’ but Tehran says it will determine when US president says war is β€˜very complete’ and threatens worse strikes if passage of oil via strait of Hormuz is blocked; IRGC says it will not let out β€˜one litre of oil’

"Trump claims Iran war will be over β€˜very soon’ but Tehran says it will determine when"

This is the dynamic, that says Trump, the incompetent, has fucked up big time.

Trump wrongly calculated that the Iranian regime, would be cowed by US might.

I do very much appreciate your point about what can we do, when politicians refuse to do what public opinion demands, because they are compromised by the very rich, and act as their puppets. My point about money, is the way its formulated, as the very rich want it.

Oxfam GB | Three quarters of British public would back government tax increases on very richest versus spending cuts

As we live in supposed democracies, politicians and governments are supposed to represent the people, and most people are in favour of the very rich being taxed more, it should happen without us demanding it. It could be argued that money itself is the problem.

As I say, their malign influence, is quite objective. What I say, is not motivated by any pathological hatred I have of people with great wealth. I could talk to them in a friendly and civil way. Rather, it is how it distorts and corrupts our societies.

Therefore, we've completely overlooked what a malign influence these people are in our societies. An equal problem are the sycophants, some in their employ, others do it, in the hope of them rewarding them. So endlessly, I get attacked, for merely pointing out the systemic problems they create.

It's understandable that the very malign and pathological traits of the very rich, are normalized or lauded, because they are the most powerful people in our societies. They own and run everything, every big organization, governments, all controlled by the very rich.

I want to thank @georgemonbiot.bsky.social for articulating this. As George knows, we're of the same mind on this. But I falsely get accused of envying the rich, hating them, being an ideologue. But it's not true. I view things in terms of basic problem-solving, and they are the problem.

How much more evidence do we need? The ultra-rich and the governments supporting them will destroy everything for the sake of profit, power and pride. Nothing is precious to them - not human life, not the living world - except their own wealth and status. Our survival depends on resisting them.
