February Wrap-Up | Finishing three great book series in one month Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 February was my birthday month, and I celebrated turning 26 in a very quiet way. I had all you can eat dinner in a Chinese restaurant with some family and friends, then on my birthday itself I went into a local city centre to do some shopping with my partner. I did get a little bit spoiled, so I feel very lucky.

My February reading wrap up, featuring me completing the Game Changers series! Do I need to watch #HeatedRivalry again?

Read With Me #6 | Spend a week with me as I try to tackle a 700+ page fantasy Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 It’s been a while (too long!) since I did one if these reading diary posts, and I thought it would be fun to do one that’s all focused on one book. I’m reading The Name of All Things by Jenn Lyons, a 731 page epic fantasy. It’s book 2 of 5 in the Chorus of Dragons series, and will be the longest book I’ve read in physical format in a very long time.

2026 Reading Challenge | It’s time for a different approach Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 I can't believe I finally get to say this, but I defeated my 2025 Reading Challenge! The goal for 25 in 2025 was for me to read 25 books that I owned before the start of the year. The eventual aim of all my reading challenges is for me to not have a stockpile of books that have been on my list for years, so that I'm able to just acquire new books as and when I want to read them.

January Wrap-Up | Getting bitten by the Heated Rivalry bug Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 January has been a bit of a blur of a month, and I'm not even sure what to say about it. It's taken me a while but I think I have slowly figured out where I want to go with my reading goals for 2026. I feel I've even made some pretty sensible decisions! I didn't get to blog as much as I wanted to, since usually the January/end-of-year posts are my favourite.

A Year in Review 2025 | Looking back on a year for change Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 Somehow, we've done it again. It's been a whole year! I'd say this one has been up and down, but overall I'm proud of a lot of the things I've done, and I've made memories I'll never forget. This year marked my first trip abroad in over a decade, and it was truly the best two weeks of my life.

December Wrap-Up | Long-awaited reads, and learning to relax Hello, my lovely lemons! 🎅🏻 December has been an absolute whirlwind. Between trying to buy Christmas presents, keep track of Christmas presents, wrap Christmas presents(!!) and have hobbies and/or a life, I feel like my feet have barely touched the ground. I always struggle somewhat to hold on this time of year, but this time it’s been drastic. I’m writing this intro on the 14th, and we still don’t have a Christmas tree up in our house - usually I do that on the 1st!

Top Ten Tuesday | Books I hope Santa brings Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 Now believe it or not, I think over the course of the past couple years I've learned my lesson when it comes to buying books. I know that it feels much better to buy a single book that you really want, than to stockpile a bunch of titles you're slightly interested in. So in reality, I think if Santa brought me ten whole new books, I would be a little put off.

November Wrap-Up | Crochet, cinema, and Caraval Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 November went by so quickly. It feels like the days are just disappearing lately, and the end of the year is really creeping up on us! But I can say it’s given me a little boost to try to hit my reading goals, and I seem to have overcome the slump. I've finally started one of the biggest series on my TBR, as well as a new game and a lot of Christmas craft projects.

October Wrap-Up | A seasonal dip and a distinct lack of spooky Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 October was a weird month for me. The days are getting shorter, the clocks went back, and everything feels dark and a little gloomy. I've spent most of the month wishing I could stay in bed. September Wrap-Up | A brilliant holiday with some mediocre reads Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 What a month September has been. I spent the first two weeks of the month on a life-changing trip around the Mediterranean, baking in Spanish temperatures. Then I got home and the mornings are dark, pumpkin spice lattes are back, and it feels like autumn is already in full swing. Don't get me wrong - I'm certainly happy to embrace the later half of the year.

July Wrap-Up | Breaking news: local reader actually picks up books from TBR! June Wrap-Up | I started going to the gym?? Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 April and May were both months that felt sort of like a write-off in a lot of ways. And by the time June rolled around I was tired. Especially tired of feeling like I was wasting my life being addicted to a toxic relationship with my phone. Quarter Year Crisis Book Tag 2025 | I’ve had some pretty varied reads! Hello, my lovely lemons! 🍋 We are long overdue for another book tag, in my opinion! Luckily, I have one for you today. I'm getting settled in to my new routine with work, although it's still tough adjusting to the lack of free time. This is one I was first inspired to try months ago, when I read Morgan’s post about swapping screen time with reading for a week. I’ve toyed with the idea since then but never actually started it.

swapping screen time for reading isn't for the faint of heart...
