I just saw this! as someone who uses eva foam for my suits, I got a blocky shape with the eva and for more complex and rounder shapes I actually used foam clay! the brand I used was cheap and didn't stick to the eva foam but still worked in the end :3 here's the base before and after the foam clay!
having bought and researched so many faux fur sellers now gives me the ability to identify colors like "omg is that howl fabrics pastel lavender lux shag"

after the curls are finished if you look close you can see quite a few bald spots :'3 they look good from afar but if you analyze them just a little bit you can see all the tied wefts in there
I used the latch hooking wefting technique from this video! www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgwR...
After doing that I curled them like a regular cosplay wig, with hair rollers and boiling water. Just make sure the hair's dry before unrolling them. I also recommend making the wefts super dense bc (cont.)
