The city passed new gun control laws, and the state legislature followed. The Panthers went to Olympia to protest. They brought their guns with them.
Were there some errors in that story? Yes, and they were clarified quickly.
None of it was for lack of trying.
We’ll own that other thing though. It was careless to rush it out without confirming, but we corrected it in less than 24 hours, the moment new information was available.
