Kind of curious what a "one way attack drone" is. Is it just essentially a really slow hard to spot guided missile?

I feel like they have to explode because otherwise why just be one way? Also probably don't want usable attack drones being left behind or operable parts that can be repurposed.

These same people (incorrectly) try to apply Survival of the Fittest to basically everything but never seem to apply it to the fact that their "culture" can't survive contact with any other culture.

This idea of American exceptionalism is one of the root causes of the problem really. It's the source of "it can't happen here" thinking which has led to the initial disbelief in the rise of fascism and the lathargic response to it by Democratic leadership.

So are we doing anything about abusive heterosexual couples? Do crappy foster situations get a pass as long as it's a man and a woman involved? Are we going to deny adoptions and otherwise stable homes to children because a few crazy people can't see past their hate and prejudice?

Easy solution: Stop indiscriminate illegal arrests, release everyone without a recent criminal conviction/actual deportation order and date, and disband ICE/DHS. There never should have been an independent agency just to enforce civil matters on the order of parking tickets.

It would probably help but I think there's also the issue of access. Too many journalists are afraid of being removed from press pools or denied interviews if they're even a little bit critical.

Given what happened during the last shutdown I doubt ICE will go unpaid.

Also, I'm sure a good number of them would brutalize people just for the fun of it.

I'm now at the point that I'm just not going to pay taxes because it's the only actual control I have over these people not getting money.

I'll pay the fines when ICE is abolished and we have admin that actually follows the budget and spends money as per Congressional mandate.

So one thing I've learned through the last year is that something is just broken in the appeals system. SCOTUS is one thing because that's only 9 people but the consistent bias of appeals courts is wild.

If only it was "discussions" but it's not. If it had ended at "How much for Greenland?" and "Greenland is not for sale" we wouldn't be where we are now.

He's not wrong in that as far as I'm aware it was a watered down compromise based on a Republican purposal meant to shortcircuit opposition.

The thing is that he could just lie. There would be no consequences. The fact that he won't says a lot.

The way it's written suggests to me that the writer thinks that peaceful demonstrations and ICE leaving are incompatible goals.

There's no universe where ICE has any role in any response to any form of protest.

Something bugs me about this framing:

I've occasionally run into some where they want month and year and the interface only lets you go back one month at a time with an arrow button. Not sure if it was a mobile site issue but terrible UI either way.
