Thanks, friend. The thing that sends me into orbit (and it may just be our healthcare provider) is the policy that a patient is removed from the PT/OT service if they are admitted to the hospital. So the process of scripts, scheduling, intake visit has to start all over again.

My family has been navigating some pretty big medical issues over the last six months and the hardest thing to navigate, by far, has been getting consistent physical and occupational therapy care.

Presidents Feel Pressure in Trump's Second Term The latest Inside Higher Ed Survey of College and University Presidents reveals leaders’ concerns about Trump 2.0, public trust, finances and AI.

Inside Higher Ed's annual survey of college presidents is particularly interesting this year given everything that happened in 2025. I really wish they would have broken down public higher ed into red and blue states, as those two jobs are wildly different right now.

POLITICO Pro: Lawmakers urge Trump administration to classify nurses as professional The bipartisan group of about 150 members of Congress argued that nurses with advanced degrees should qualify for higher federal lending limits.

The pressure to add advanced nursing degrees to ED's list of professional programs, which would allow students to borrow more, continues to grow

150 lawmakers, including 20 Republicans, signed a letter urging ED to reconsider

GWβ€˜s student newspaper appears to have broken the story that the institution has sold a satellite campus to Amazon to be turned into a data center, which is just about chef’s kiss for the state of American higher education rn

Hampton University, Stripped of Land Grant Status 100 Years Ago, May Get It Back As Va. lawmakers move to restore a designation lost during the Jim Crow era, students await the resources and opportunities its return could bring.

Recognizing pros and cons of long-serving leaders (opinion) Beyond the positive impact they can have on institutions, they must also guard against less considered challenges that come with decades of service, writes Erin Hennessy.

Ahem: "In every presidency, often the brand and identity of the leader become entwined with that of the institution; with exceptionally long tenures, it can feel nearly impossible to distinguish the two." I've been yelling about this topic for a while...

There's a lot to talk about here, but no institution should ever, ever be run by one person for 50 YEARS.

Professors in the Epstein Files Begin to Face Consequences Several faculty members who spoke regularly with Epstein have been stripped of their titles or teaching duties.

Shout out to the student journalists that have tirelessly covered their professors' ties to Epstein. My job would be much harder without them. See thread for some of my favorite recent student news pieces.

Lee H. Hamilton, a Foreign Policy Power in Congress, Dies at 94

I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Rep. Hamilton a handful of times when my boss chaired the 9/11 Commission. The respect my boss had for him was boundless -- he was a public servant's public servant. What a gift he gave his district, state, the Congress and the nation with his service.
