Sony has updated the listing for the supposed Sonia Belmont listing to say "Trevor Belmont's Successor" instead which means one of two things:
1. Sony MASSIVELY jumped the gun and revealed something Konami wasn't ready for.
2. Sony's website writers lied.
What's the truth?
Most of all, I just wanted the devs to know how much Sonia fans enjoyed her as a character and wanted to see more of the Belmont role from a female perspective. If this is truly Sonia in canon, it's legit surreal to me in the best of ways.
Years went by, I started doing YT around 2012 but I did a Legacy of Sonia Belmont video that further explored my desire to legitimize her as canon. I started using the #JusticeForSonia hashtag, and would often fight with canon purists about her legitimacy.
I bought a Dreamcast JUST for Castlevania Resurrection. I couldn't believe we were getting another crack at playing as Sonia! And then...it got cancelled. I was crushed. I was SO looking forward to the unique ideas and characters and a return to more Classic roots.
The idea of a female Belmont made so much sense to me. We had seen so many male protags, but very few female heroes at the time. I admit, Legends isn't the best GB CV, but it's easily second best and miles better than Adventure.
I got Castlevania Legends probably about a year or so after it came out. While I had played the first two Game boy games before it, Legends was the most recent release at the time, coming out before the big push to 3D with Castlevania 64.
I feel a bit overwhelmed emotionally by this Sonia Belmont news. I'll be honest. I have been one of the biggest voices for legitimizing Sonia into canon. Here's a personal thread further explaining my love and appreciation for Sonia's game(s).

People a few weeks ago called me a liar when I said there were people claiming Belmont's Curse was "woke." Here's an example of one such incel in my comments section. There are real people who think like this. Castlevania has had female protagonists since 1990. Get over it.

The arrange mode is a brand new version of the OST. The original itself has three different versions depending on the drivers. This release has them all which is pretty dope.
