T-minus 39 days until my publish date and my book hits the shelves. I’m so freakin nervous because… well… BECAUSE!

This vid has gone viral on two other social media platforms. It’s evoked a lot of strong feelings & I’ve received a wide range of opinions. It’s been… intense. I’m grateful though, for connecting with so many human souls over the topic of life & death and the gratitude & love we feel about it all.

It’s terrifying to see ideological swings in friends and community members who were once more… liberal minded. What’s happening?!!!

So after a lot of soul searching, I have decided NOT to travel to the U.S. for book events. My American publisher supports me 100% and so for now, the Canadian distributor (Manda Group) will help me promote my book here in Canada. I’m sad b/c I love my U.S. friends 🙁

Naturally dyed easter eggs using red cabbage, blue spirulina, butterfly pea flower, arbutus bark, onion skins and leaves from my front yard. Each year I improve a little. 🥚🩵🥚🩵🥚

The animals I create in my mixed media collages are inspired by the old jewelry in my collection. I thrift for costume jewelry & old brooches and shiny pretty things. Currently I have a lot of metal bits that look rather medieval. Ravens always want to be the main character in my art! #collage #art

Update on my recent post about finding a disc golf ‘frisbee’ on the ocean floor. I posted on our local disc golf course page and the owner was found! The Innova disc belongs to a Labrador Retriever named Lucy. Who’s the retriever now? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Happy to help a dog out #discgolf

Green pigment is made from seaweed (sea lettuce). I mix this into watercolours. You can see how the pigment has faded in two years.

Anyone remember the double rainbow video, well the song remix is playing in my head.

Yesterday… I had to choose between going snorkelling or… playing in a disc golf tournament. I chose to go snorkelling but can you believe what I found on the ocean floor? A disc golf frisbee! Wth?!

Making watercolour pigment from the bark of the Arbutus (Pacific Madrone). This is a quick painting of my home (painted with the arbutus pigment and a few other homemade botanical paints).
