We're getting squeezed here in Northwest Georgia.
Fuel costs are through the roof, fertilizer prices are climbing, and the war with Iran is driving up costs. The math just isn’t working for the farmers keeping food on our tables.
My opponent says things are going great. Folks here know better.
This is just plain wrong. And self-serving. It was never intended to be a lifetime position. Clyburn should retire. And let a new voice serve. Same with Chuck Grassley & all other career politicians (Republican & Democrat) who’ve been in Congress since the Industrial Revolution.
Here’s the fundamental misunderstanding that makes current U.S. military strategy untenable:
Missiles and aircraft are expensive and require large specialized facilities. Strike first, strike hard, and you can halt their production.
Drones are cheap and can be made in any house, shed, or barn. …
Halting the production and deployment of drones requires not just hitting a few specific buildings. It means taking out every building.
Russia has expended thousands of missiles, tens of thousands of their own drones, and > 1.5 million men. But Ukraine is deploying *more* drones than 2 yrs ago. …
The combined arms strategy of NATO (including the US) became obsolete almost as soon as the Russian invasion began.
The U.S. air power strategy began to crumble not long after.
Now, more than ever, you can’t force compliance without complete control of territory — but you can cause untold misery.
Last week UNESCO contacted all parties in the Iran war, sharing locations of revered cultural heritage sites hoping they might be spared. These sites are protected under international law.
But they are being hit hard by Israel and the United States

This is really wrong.👇
Palantir Technologies raked in $1.5 BILLION in income last year — including from lucrative taxpayer-funded DHS contracts — and paid ZERO federal income tax.
It's fast becoming the most dangerous and least accountable corporation in America.

Journalists are not great at just asking for money. I am not great at it. But it’s important. We (at TPM) believe that, at least in this current moment, that’s how it has to happen. If you read us, we’d like you to support us. And, so, we have to ask.
TPM is doing its annual membership drive. Memberships cover more than 90% of our funding.
We rely on our readers. Since 2012, they have delivered time and again. If TPM has brought you interesting, worthwhile, funny, or revealing news in the last year (and I hope we have), consider signing up.
I just voted YES on the biggest housing bill in Congress in more than 30 years.
The kicker here is 🤌.
When pressed as to why he, a 20-something with no experience in scholarly peer review or grant making, is qualified to summarily cancel fed gov't "DEI" contracts, he says a person who reads books & has life experience knows enough.
Oh really, which books?
"There were no books."
Words that came to mind watching him. Blind. Ignorant. Foolish.
Books? Life experience? No.
"For self governance to survive, the only thing we need is to agree is on the rules of the road." @adamkinzinger.substack.com
We can disagree on policy, but the moment we stop agreeing on the rules, we stop being a democracy.

When Trump says "we make a lot of money," he's talking about his Big Oil donors.
They spent spent nearly $100M to get Trump elected in 2024, and the investment is paying off quite well for them.
Oligarchy in action.
In this week's 1 on 1, @kimlanelaw.bsky.social joins Harry to explain how democracies slide into autocracy—and why stopping Trump’s democratic backsliding will require a response equal to the scale of the threat. bit.ly/ScheppeleTF

Trump is spending $1 billion a day waging war on Iran. Meanwhile...
Trump's sons are investing in a drone company that could soon receive Pentagon contracts.
And of course Trump's Big Oil donors stand to gain windfall profits as the price of oil skyrockets.
War is a racket.
Utility safety concerns about plug-in solar panels prompted 5 states to delay votes on enabling legislation. Germany has 1.2 million balcony solar panels registered with no safety problems reported. Here's my @npr.org story: www.npr.org/2026/03/12/n...
First week of war with Iran cost US $11.3 billion
One week $11.3 B. So one month ~ $45B. Six months $264 B. One year over half a trillion dollars. Wow. Money we don’t have for a war we all don’t want.

Ohioans, if you work hard, yet face economic difficulties:

His opponent? Does he seem to care?
The choice is clear.
UFC fighters train FBI agents????
Rolling my eyes and walking away from the idiocy.
Can we please have some grown men running the government? The boys are horsing around again.
After a series of fatal strikes involving civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, Congress directed the Pentagon to reduce civilian casualties as part of a 2019 law. During the Biden administration, the Defense Department created the Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response initiative. The civilian mitigation teams – cut by 90% by Hegseth – work with military commanders on target planning, and making sure that targets are actually military sites. The teams help come up with "no strike" lists, including religious and cultural sites and schools
I knew that the Department of War shot a missile into a school & killed 175 civilians, mostly children.
This is learned today:
Secretary of War Hegseth had cut the teams assigned to prevent such tragedies by 90%.
