Support Dogs for Autism, Epilepsy and Disability estimate that they save the NHS around £40 million a year. One single support dog for the condition POTS, a heart rate condition, can save the NHS more than £80,000. I will be pressing the Government to invest in these amazing services.

Paignton Monastery has been empty since 2017, but is still a well-preserved site. After a hard fought campaign by Councillor Cat Johns the Monastery was prevented from being sold on the open market by the Council.

I visited the monastery last week and discussed what we could be doing with the site

I'm proud to have worked with the students at Torquay Girls' Grammar School and local businesses to tackle misogyny in the workplace with the Torbay Charter, and I will keep working hard to address the inequality that women still face.

The nurses at Marie Curie do amazing work providing end of life care. I know first hand how important this is considering the end of life care that my father received.

It was great to meet with some of them in Parliament this week and congratulate them on their hard work.

Elephant riding, cub petting and captive dolphin shows often involve significant cruelty, such as separation of young animals from their mothers, confinement, physical punishment and exposure to chronic stress.

The Government must bring forward activity regulations to protect animals.

In December 2023 33% of UK Shellfish Industry members reported economic losses due to poor water quality.

Yesterday I met with David Jarrad the Chief Executive at Shellfish Association of Britain and we discussed how we can empower the shellfish industry to tackle poor water quality.

Hannah Beaumont and the Torbay Cleaner Costs Initiative are doing great work keeping our Bay safe and tidy.

I met with Hannah in Parliament yesterday at the Great British Spring Clean Launch to discuss how we can protect our beaches and keep Torbay the premier resort in the United Kingdom!

One of the best parts of being an MP is getting to hear from our younger generation. I attended Hayes School in Torbay where I met with Mark, the headteacher there, and students on the school council.

We discussed supporting mental health in schools as well as cars speeding on Hayes Road.
