Ah, gotcha! Yeah, I can relate to that situation! I wound up eluding to the event, and did the reveal later in the book when it made sense.

Any possibility of a teaser going on page? Like, if the characters’ background is that they were in a car crash, you could elude to it without saying it verbatim?

How tied to the Apple ecosystem are you? Linux can breathe new life into old hardware if you're ok with an OS switch. My 2011 MacBook Pro is still alive and well under Ubuntu!
