I know that is a gross oversimplification, but, without gross oversimplifications, there’s no way any thoughtful and well-intentioned person could sign off on what is happening today.

Libertarians, your ideological mother, Ayn Rand, would weep at your silence. And your compliance.

History will show that you turned a blind eye to tyranny because you were fearful of trans kids playing sports.

Visiting the Anne Frank museum, in particular, broke my heart.

Obviously the history is upsetting.

But what upset me more, was the thought that many of the people visiting the home that day will end up voting for policies and administrations that could catalyze oppression, and, maybe, genocide.

Since December, I’ve had the privilege of being in India, Netherlands, and Belgium.

And people I met and talked to are consistently horrified by what’s happening to America.

And it’s only getting worse.
