Yes, I worked in central London for many years for art studios that would supply ad agencies with visuals, storyboards, artworks, etc. Physical actual colour drawings, then still do them digitally but studios are all remote now. AI is totally taking away all our work now.
Art school, cool! π¨ππ
More recognition for women artists, please.
Haha, ridiculous I know, to indulge in twisty sculpture inspired poses but hey, it takes me back to being a teenager, and studying Art History. π€£π€£
In the 80s & 90s weβd use Polaroids at work in Soho - always fun to look back at those weird poses we took to draw from. π€£
Metamorphosis: Apollo and Daphne, c. 1625, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, great Italian Baroque sculptor & architect; died #OTD 1680.

I was actually trying to recreate her pose from memory yesterday, in the kitchen, wearing multiple layers of clothing - just because. I love all the twists and turns of the bodies that Mannerism highlighted! Bernini was amazing!
Photo of a white woman, upper half facing left, wearing a huge head piece created with white paper resembling an enlarged 18th century wig with a ship with sails on top

Every day the world presents you with the wrong battles, designed to waste your energy so you don't fight the right ones.
I will never, ever get over this.
Two chickens at a computer. The one in the suit says "Tired of reading A.I.-generated slop on the internet? Try our new A.I. reading tool that consumes content so you don't have to!" The other chicken says "Finally! Nobody has to read the content that nobody wrote!" In the distant future, a parent reads a book to their children, "And that, children, is how the internet died." "Cool!" says one of the kids.
