I am very excited to see Kadri return, he felt like a core piece of the Avs and losing him (alongside Landeskog) directly prevented both of the last two years from being Colorado’s.

Still hard not to Imagine the what if had they re-signed him in 2023 instead of Tatar/Johansen/Wood.

Definitely makes sense from a cap perspective. Just goes against the MO this front office usually has with their guys. I could see a Girard trade but shipping a 2nd with him for this return is a bit surprising.

Sam Girard has been traded to the Penguins along with a 2nd for Brett Kulak.

Given each D’s performance this is a bit of a head scratcher. Maybe clearing cap for something else? I’m surprised.

I had very little respect for most of the players on the US Men’s hockey team before now to be perfectly honest. The speed at which they showed just what misogynistic pieces of garbage they are live to all social media is a bit staggering though. Hope none of those guys know peace.

7 goals on 22 shots is simply unacceptable. Georgiev had quite a few games like this one, Phillip Grubauer had maybe 2 or 3? Justus Annunen never had a game this bad.

The avalanche have a clear fatal flaw that needs to be addressed.

I would say goaltending has been the big difference in this game.

From the angle they showed on the Colorado broadcast it looked a lot more like incidental contact than any kind of headshot. My guess would be spotters pulled him and he tested negative for a concussion.

Also, I never, ever want to see Keaton Middleton in an Avs uniform ever again. Arber Xhekaj is an objectively horrible player and Middleton makes him look like prime Shea Weber.
