“They said I can keep the shells after helping them put them on the castle,” Shouto pointed out and the other two nodded in agreement.

“Oh, okay,” he nodded, standing slowly as Fuyumi caught up to him.

“Who are your new friends?” She asked and he looked up at her.

“I’m Tenya Iida,” the child greeted proudly.

“Uraraka Ochaco, miss!” The girl greeted happily.

“Yeah! We still need to make the castle look pretty!” She clapped her hands together excitedly.

Looking at the shell, he pouted slightly as he thought it over. “You can keep the shells after,” the boy offered, which caught Shouto's attention.

“Hi! Wanna help us put shells on the castle?” she asked as Shouto picked up a blue spiraled shell and inspected it.

Shouto blinked up at them, tilting his head curiously. “Oh?” he clutched the spiral shell in his little fist tightly.

Before Fuyumi could stop him, he was tottering off at top toddler speed towards them, plopping down to inspect the shells that they had gathered.

“Oh hi!” the blue haired child greeted as the girl floated down with a bright smile.

As Shoutos’ eyes scan the castles, his eyes land on the blue that two other children had gathered for their castle. “Blue!” he pointed at the castle that a boy wearing grey shorts and a blue shirt and a girl with brown hair and a pink swimsuit were building.

"No caswle, just shell!" huffs Shouto petulantly as he turns to look at the competition space.
"But look at all the shells they have over there, Sho," replies Fuyumi in amusement. The decision has his bottom lip curving harshly out as he pouts.

"Pwetty!" says Shouto loudly as he shows the shell to her. His cut is forgotten even as Fuyumi sees it, pulls out a bandage from her bag, and covers it. “I think they've gathered most of the shells to decorate the sandcastles in the competition," says Fuyumi softly, her voice lifting thoughtfully.

The shell is pretty. He wants more of them. If this one was buried in the sand, there's got to be more, right? Excitement curves his lips as he turns to find Fuyumi walking to him.

"Roun' an roun' an roun' it goes," mutters Shouto as he picks up the shell. “You okay, Sho?" Fuyumi's voice is loud, but Shouto ignores her.

As he starts to push himself up, a yelp escapes his throat while tears bead in his eyes. He lifts his hand as pain cuts through it to show a shell underneath his palm, bright orange and half-stuck in the sand.

There's a sandcastle competition happening, and Fuyumi tried to get him to join until she gave up. She was distracted by their brothers long enough for him to wander off. He giggles as his foot catches in the sand, tripping himself.

Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Touya are all wearing blue or white too, and he threw a fit when they tried to put him in red. He was not happy. But as he pads across the sand in his blue flip flops, he's got a pout on his face from Fuyumi's pestering.
