I thought it was actually a better game than some of the Bournemouth rollercoaster matches. Palmer looked very rusty and Guiu not quite up to standard. Best Bournemouth performance for some weeks.

I think the fixture day bit missed one important aspect and not for the first time it’s match going fans. Once the fixtures are out you can start to plan when you might get weekends away, book trains or flights and organise hotels if one of the big away trips is in the kids’ summer holidays.
