Medicaid has always been on the chopping block. MAGAts don't seem to get how much they are actually dependent on these programs. They see themselves as the deserving poor, not understanding that it doesn't work like that.
The GOP passed a budget resolution last night that will gut Medicaid, SNAP, and other vital programs — as 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
Why? To finance tax cuts for the top 1%.

Sometimes I think about hopeful films which suggest that there are always alternatives to war and misery, that we can choose peace, dialogue, and genuine empathy. Nice examples are Arrival, The Grand Illusion, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. These are good films, they mean something to me.
