Elizabeth Warren: "I am a hard no on a supplemental. This is not a war the American people want us to engage in. This is not a war that makes us safer ... No. No more money. The only thing Congress has the power to do is to stop actions like this through the power of the purse."

Piscataway is pretty far out of NJ-12. What would be your favorite hangout in Piscataway?
Note medical scientists are in fact close to Destination Dogs

I'm telling you, Destination Dogs is the place! It's a favorite gathering spot in New Brunswick.
Come on out tomorrow (Wednesday), 5-7pm. We can talk about how to protect and grow science, over boar sausages!

This puts me at 10 people released. I filed my 1st habeas petition 29 days ago. I am an incredibly small-time, nobody lawyer who knew nothing about immigration law the day I submitted that case. I barely know any more today. I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.

Daylight savings time is stressful for the brain - every year, a transient risk of accidents and illness. We should consider doing away with it.
Put this neuroscientist in Congress and weβll take it up.

Guess What Moderate Democratic Voters Arenβt Anymore? Moderate.
Two new polls suggest that moderate Democrats, too, want higher taxes on the rich and some measure of economic populism. Moderate isnβt what it was in 1992.
Third Way and other "moderate" Democratic groups and elites constantly bash progressive politicians and ideas. But moderate Democratic VOTERS really like raising taxes on the wealthy and corporations, Medicare-for-all, and Bernie Sanders. newrepublic.com/article/2074...

π§΅Feels like shouting into the void, but it is essential to note that the Trump/Rubio gutting of the State Department and blowtorching of US diplomatic capacity and credibility is an accelerant to this spiraling war and will seriously undercut US/allied efforts to pick up the pieces after. 1/

This is arguably the real βelite bubble.β The dumbest person most educated professionals have any meaningful social interaction withβthe guy at the office they snicker about in the group chatβis a solid standard deviation brighter than the American mean. This necessarily skews oneβs perspective.

A handful of Republicans in Congress & Supreme Court can end this nightmare any time they choose, and history will remember them as saviors of the republic, no matter what terrible things they did to US in last 10 years: insane we cannot find a few volunteers for this plum deal!

This is a way in which Congress has major power over our lives, and an area where it is still possible to get bipartisan consensus. And it demonstrates the Congress actually has power when it wants. that power is what I want to restore.
And letβs make sure itβs **based on evidence**.

It would be a good idea to run the survey both at spring forward and fall back times, to see if there is a recency bias

If you read that survey data from Elliott Morris, people are weirdly agnostic - either is fine as long ad we stop changing.
I am personally inclined toward permanent Daylight Savings (evening daylight!) but we should probably study it more

Big thanks to those in Princeton and Montgomery who canvassed for 166 signatures to help qualify me for the June primary. At this rate, we may have 1000 by tomorrow, double the requirement!
Also, awesome diversity in NJ-12. Here, todayβs tuna slicing demo at a Korean market!

Disrupting voters in the Old Dominion
A partisan gerrymander in Virginia will change representation for millions
at this point Democrats have basically won that war. which proves a point, itβs a loser for Republicans.
Congress can pass a law that mandates independent redistricring in all states, red and blue. this is a major issue for me.
