Mallory was supervised by Dr. Anne-Helene Miller (Marco's Riggsby Director). She is currently a lecturer in French and Director of the French minor at ETSU. She was supported at her defense by all of her graduate student friends and colleagues from French program!
Congratulations to Mallory Nischan, PhD candidate in French, who successfully defended her dissertation, "Retelling Resistance: Orality, Writing, and the Kahina in North African Francophone Literature," earlier this week!

Our keynote will be delivered by Brent Seales (Kentucky), on his project using digital scanning and AI to virtually unwrap and decode the Herculaneum scrolls! The keynote is at 2pm on Saturday, April 26, and is also totally free!
