I guess this is a sign to other phd students to not assume editors are just being polite but to actually take them up on what they say - it can lead to publication in your preferred journal!
The first time I sent in the paper, it was rejected with an encouragement to resubmit it in the future. I’m happy I took that seriously (I was close to taking it as a defeat)
I just got my paper accepted for a journal! This is the first time I’ll be publishing a paper I wrote alone (which feels like a feat for a PhD student)
As you might be able to sense, I am working on a second round of peer reviews, and there are many comments to address 😅
As a junior researcher, I’m of course happy that journals give me feedback and are interested in my articles , but a little part of me kinda wishes they’d just get rejected so I could write new articles instead of having to revise old ones a million times, you know?
I have to go to the university to print som stuff for exams, but I expect that it will be empty and that I will have a boring day. Let’s hope I’m proven wrong!
I just love putting on that automatic “I’m on holiday. I’ll get back to you when I’m back” e-mail. Like, I can just ignore all e-mails now ! Wow ! The freedom
