I still argue, that especially in an age of activist shareholders, what’s good for humans is good for business. I’m boycotting Target and still regularly shopping at Costco after their boards made opposite decisions on DEI.
Businesses too often become shortsighted in their decisions around profit.

Thank you for replying with this article, which is a breath of fresh air to read this morning here in Silicon Valley where too many companies have been capitulating. It’s been refreshing to see Anthropic and LinkedIn take a stand for humanity. Unfortunately too many are capitulating.

Systems change is a harder, and longer process where influence and hard decisions involves more than mere violence. I hope for peace and freedom for the Iranian people who have suffered so much.
It is being reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei has been killed. Just like the US capturing Maduro last month in Venezuela was removing the head of a hydra, it remains to be seen if this is a regime change or just giving an opportunity for another figurehead of a similar leadership style.

Trump is not entitled to Venezuelan oil, regardless of how he likes to grab things that don’t belong to him. Grabbing people off the streets, assaulting women and children, and now grabbing power in Venezuela. Who’s the felon?

As someone who grew up in Venezuela in the 80’s & 90’s, and remembers when Chavez expanded the nationalization of Venezuela's oil industry, mandating majority state control (PDVSA), I want to be clear. Venezuelan oil belongs to them. It is not ours. We don’t need to charge people to help them.
Venezuelans deserve to be centered here and we can use our voices to amplify theirs, even when they are afraid to be quoted due to being in Venezuela or the US right now.

In a world where saboteurs exist, I choose to be kind, but don’t mistake my kindness as weakness. It is a strength that has enormous influence.
Kindness is a strength in leadership. I know this because of what a threat it poses to those who want to take kind leaders out because of it’s power and influence.
What I can control is whether I learn to be a better person and a better leader as I move forward or whether I stay small when those leaders’ insecurities lead them to try to sabotage me.
I did that before I dusted myself off, and picked myself back up to move forward with those lessons as my teachers.
There will be people who see your success, your empathy, and your kindness as a threat. I have learned that is inevitable. I can’t control that.
