This war provides a live contrast between how the US is reported in the media va Isrl. We are (rightly) so comfortable pointing out all the ills of America, but still broadly silent on the endless war crimes of Isrl. Isrl has US so owned that it even gets to use it as a shield in the media.

Having spent years fighting with seemingly progressive friends about Isrl, it feels like the dam has burst at last. People are able to see it for what it is and start to speak out against its horrors. There can be no turning back. Isrl must be stopped.

U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the U.S. Navy carried out the sinking on Tuesday night, March 3, saying an American attack submarine used an MK-48 heavyweight torpedo for the first torpedo sinking since World War II. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the vessel was one of over 20 Iranian naval ships targeted and destroyed since the start of the war as President Trump aims to “wipe out” Iran’s Navy. The ship was far from the main theater of fighting and was returning to Iran after the Milan naval exercises in the Bay of Bengal, according to USNI News. I do find it remarkable how little Brits know about the history of our involvement abroad, be it Ireland, Africa or indeed the Middle East. We have become so used to blaming the US (and Isrl) and using them as a shield for the world we created.
