And then in very short order, all three of them had joined the dancers, leaving Frenchie alone with what might be the angriest looking man in the entire county. Well, why not? Maybe the angry little man was a good dancer. And at least he hadn’t been overly forward. Frenchie turned to face him. “Do you dance, Mr. Hands?” Mr. Hands met his gaze, and Frenchie almost recoiled from the force of it. He might not be able to tell alpha from omega scent in a crowd like this, but Mr. Hands had a presence that said exactly what he was. It didn’t matter that the man’s hair had gone completely gray and that he was so much shorter than Frenchie; he felt like he was being towered over anyway. Or judged, maybe. Like Frenchie was the one responsible for what had just happened between Stede and Mr. Teach. “No,” Mr. Hands said curtly. His throat bobbed, but he said nothing else. He didn’t need to say anything. Frenchie could see the tightness around his eyes, the downward curve of his lips, and the rigidity of his shoulders. So after a long pause, and without another word himself, Frenchie spun around and left.

I got an RBB match, and now I will be splitting my time between my Ouizzy Pride and Prejudice AU, and a new secret project that is right up my alley, with a wonderful artist 😍

I'm excited to finally be working on it! I've done so much worldbuilding and outlining, and have so many notes on how to mesh these worlds together

Been planning this for ages and finally started writing it. Izzy makes a GREAT Darcy! He's so awkward 😂

Frenchie’s eyes flitted between the two men. He’d been collecting bits of information, but hadn’t gotten much in the way of physical descriptions. He’d heard both Teach and his friend described as handsome and rich and alpha, but none of those descriptors helped even a bit. But he had heard Teach’s friend given one additional descriptor. Given that of the two men standing there, one was beaming while the other looked like he was being dragged to a gallows, he had a guess about who was who. “This is Edward Teach,” Olu said, gesturing to the man who’d woven flowers into his beard. “He’s the one who’s taken over Netherfield Park.” “Ed,” he said. “Call me Ed.” Stede beamed at him. “Your flowers are just lovely.” Ed’s hand rose to his beard. “Thanks, mate. Spent a while picking them out.” “Oh, I know. I watched.” Frenchie cringed as the realization immediately flashed across Stede’s face after he spoke. “I mean, I was in town! I wasn’t watching you.” Stede’s hands rose up, his lace frills flopping. “I saw you across the square. I mean I was watching, but I was really just shopping and—” Frenchie elbowed Stede, and he clicked his mouth shut.

When I first cooked up the idea of Archie and Jim as crime scene cleaners, partly based on all the blood-scrubbing they do in S2, I described it as Aletea bait because she truly was my perfect person for this idea 😌
