There are some self-proclaimed Christians pushing voucher scams.
Vouchers take money from public schools and give it to wealthy parents who already send their kids to private school.
I can’t think of anything more un-Christian than stealing from the poor to give to the rich.
Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.
There's hope. But there is none if we don't acknowledge the truth of what's happening. There's none if we don't recognize the work and commitment and sacrifice and risks that will have to be undertaken to resist. There's none if we simply turn away or shrug and accept what they're seeking to impose.
