- create safe spaces
- protect schools
- get kids TO school
- check on neighbors
- deliver groceries
- help pay the rent
- let people know of danger
- feed the helpers, too!
- and on and on
All the prior encounter does is give premeditated motive to the killers

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
We should set up "escape ICE" funds where we break them out of service- help them pay back their bonuses so they can join the protestors instead.
