in.aviva.com/4rQJF1u Aviva, the insurer at whose behest Wivenhoe Town council seems to be choosing to pursue felling our trees, has today announced profits of Β£2,203m, up 25%. At what cost to nature and communities such as ours?

Some photos of our trees looking fab in the past couple of days. First, at sunset tonight. Second, in the misty fog from yesterday. We are trying to ensure a fair decision making process for the fate of both the old oak known as Old King George and the nearby horsechestnut

I think this is beyond β€˜democracy’ now. The constitution is nothing to him & his cronies. Who is taking a stand?

Thank you. 😊

Those are true too. I’d say all of mine contribute to peace of mind (for me, anyway!).

This very straight news piece buried deep within the FT never uses words like corruption or insider dealing but every detail is quietly devastating. Why is the FT virtually alone in the UK media in covering this important story?

This is amazing.

When the government kills a crucial report, independent scientists decide to write it anyway and release it outside of government channels.

That’s science serving society, even when our political leaders don’t.

Remember guys, you can’t afford a gas rig, or a coal mine, or a nuclear power station, but you can afford to put some cheap solar panels on your roof.

That’s why the fossil fuel industry has spent billions trying to kill renewable energy.

The dealer needs to keep you addicted.

Pretty Common Frog in a paper go bag, rescued from a busy street and released by our garden pond.

Wow! Not heard of that before!

We just had frogspawn in pond for the first time, just a couple of days after Mr M brought a frog home, rescued from pavement near shops! Must’ve found a friend in our garden! 🐸

Also, first hedgehog visit of the season to our feeding station last night! πŸ¦”πŸ˜Š

Rethinking British Democracy - The Globalist Britain's voting system encourages the belief that complex social conflicts can be settled not by compromise, but by conquest.

"Britain’s voting system encourages the belief that complex social conflicts can be settled not by compromise, but by conquest."

Completely right. It's never been more clear that no one party can speak for the whole country.

That's why we need PR πŸ‘‡

From mandatory ID cards to arresting pensioners for holding up cardboard signs to cosy deals with US tech spy firms:

It's good to see lawyers pushing back on their increasingly authoritarian Govenrment.

We must protect jury trials.

Allison might need to read a bit more.

Especially on fossil fuel markets!

I’m v. proud my work led to law change, but found out recently that this new right only applied to dads working for employer for 6 months+. A bereaved father challenged this & that loophole fortunately closed last year.

We now need an attitude shift to value caring & to pay for care jobs decently.
