Distracted tenure track researching care infrastructures, everyday life in the spaces between, ethnography, obsessed with Thai street dogs….not a bot just a lurker might also just try reading books instead.

What did you expect from a UCP government with a leader who is on record saying anti-vaxxers were the most discriminated people? Did you really expect intelligent evidence-based decisions?

The UCP talks a big game about separatism, but when it comes to healthcare, education, and affordability, they can’t even be bothered to show up.

If they won’t answer to you, they don’t deserve your vote.

On nursing…

Smith not only agreed the the requirements for nurses to get credentialed should be significantly less…

She’s got an announcement coming where teachers won’t have to be as qualified too!

Ensuring age-appropriate books in school libraries Multiple books with explicit sexual content have been found in some school libraries across the province.

Okay friends, Danielle Smith wants to ban books and control the content in our school libraries. This is NOT okay. #abpoli #yeg #yyc

I know there’s a lot going on tonight (Go Oilers), but just as the game starts, the UCP will start ramming through two very troubling bills and will end all further debate.

Among other things, Bill 54 includes a series of awful undemocratic election reforms and Bill 55 allows for private hospitals.

I keep seeing Albertans talk about the danger their democracy & healthcare is in, babe, she passed bills 54 & 55 in the middle of the night. It’s over. Now you need to get it back. She even appointed 4 Ministers to privatize your hospitals. #abpoli

I'm often asked: What motivates Danielle Smith to do the radical things she does?

After all, many of her actions fly in the face of public opinion, the constitution, conservative ideology, and her own public commitments.

I used to equivocate.

I'm about ready to call it.🧵
