I would switch to Mullvad if I ran into problems with my current vpn! It feels like their number 1 focus is on the VPN rather than trying to be a Swiss army knife of services.
I'm happy with Proton. I think it's similarly priced to most VPN's though I do the 2 year plan so it might differ depending on what you're wanting. I use the extras that come with it (email and drive storage) and like that it has a decent Android TV app.
