This week has been…challenging. So many are struggling, I feel out of sorts, making uncharacteristic mistakes, everything feels harder. Blood moon? All the wacky planet stuff? A cranky universe thanks to our ridiculous fellow humans? Either way, the monsters have had enough thank you very much.
Actively hoping Canada lets us in.
I’m serious. From playlists to a new government, we can make it happen.

Not to minimize any of the horrible stuff human beings are doing right now, but sometimes you just have to look to nature to remember that there is more to this big wonderful planet than us.
I’ve been thinking about Lillian Smith a lot lately. She wrote two seminal books about race and gender equality in the Jim Crow South, “Killers of the Dream”, and “Strange Fruit.” She stood up to and spoke out against white supremacy and authoritarianism at a time when most people didn’t. Relevant.
This graphic memoir about dying and grief is so spot on. Big recommendation.
More snow on the way then the great thaw with flooding - la la la la. Yeah, this weather is totally normal…
The monsters are very excited that our neighbors came together to dig the storm drain out from many feet of snow and ice so we don’t have a flood. The best part was the blow torch. This is how we do it in the Monsterhood.
