Do you recall the first drum solo you ever heard on record or on CD or live? For me, it was hearing "Toad" by #Cream featuring the amazing Ginger Baker on drums. It was a cassette recording that my uncle had at the time and it blew me away.
@turntabledreams
For the love of music! From classic rock to reggae to punk to soul to alternative to blues slowly sharing my collection and custom artwork one at a time! If you are looking for pricing/grading a record, just ask! I usually rely on @discogs and @Goldmine.

Some albums you never tire of! Case in point, "Aja" by #SteelyDan just seems to have grown on me with each listen featuring so many of their hits.
Also features contributions from Lee Ritenour, Wayne Shorter and Michael McDonald to go along with the genius that is Becker and Fagen.
Glam rock's first iconic album was this gem! "Electric Warrior" by #TRex features the classics "Bang A Gong (Get It On)", "Jeepster" and "Mambo Sun" and opened the doors for bands like #Sweet, #Slade, #MottTheHoople to get their material on the radio as well as led to Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust".
Long Distance Voyageur did make me go back and discover 'Days of Future Passed' and a few others. They had some good compositions but I struggled to get thru their material but that's just my take.
A hard band to get into. Some good moments but never a real complete album of bangers.
Springing forward an hour has fucked up my routine so dropping the needle on this gem. "Madman Across The Water" by #EltonJohn is just an exceptional album with the killer title track, "Levon" and perhaps my favourite Elton song in "Tiny Dancer". The movie "Almost Famous" cemented its legacy.
Dropping the needle on "Maxoom" by #MahoganyRush. To say Frank Marino was influenced by Jimi Hendrix would be an understatement.
Released in 1972 year after Hendrix had died, favourite tracks for me are "Buddy" and "Back on Home" as they showcase Frank's love for Jimi's talent.
My favourite concept album by a country mile! "The Wall" by the mighty #PinkFloyd was game changing as was the movie. A ton to process as a teenager back in the day but in hindsight an album that led to discovering Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Talking Heads and so many other artists.
Thoughts?!?
