In a white bowl is a bed of quinoa/bulgar salad as described in the text above with a piece of sablefish on top and some parsley for garnish.

Sauteed sablefish (aka butterfish/black cod) on a salad of quinoa & bulgar wheat with chopped parsley, green onion, lemon juice, dried oregano, chopped tomato, garlic and olive oil. 🍽️🍜

Lazy. 😆

Pretty tasty.

Next time I will lower the salt a bit since it's just a small batch.

Pork Jerky! 🍽️🍜

Hopefully this will be a good starting point.

I would normally want to try a Thai style of spice but this should be a good test of the basic method.

In a glass bowl are the pork tenderloin slices marinating in the mixture described in the post text.

Sliced pork tenderloin marinating in a blend of soy, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar (not dark as I had none), garlic & onion powder, paprika and black pepper.

Tomorrow it will be put in the air fryer to dehydrate for several hours to hopefully become some good pork jerky. 🍽️🍜

Just like corned beef is not only for St. Patrick's Day, turkey is not only for Thanksgiving or the Xmas holiday.

At my age I can't do it all in one day. 😆

In a white bowl are pork meatballs that have been cooked in a tomato basil pasta sauce mixed with spaghetti. Chopped parsley and grated pecorino romano on top.

On a white plate is a salad of tomatoes, black and green olives, green onions, oregano, feta cheese and dressed with olive oil and lemon juice.

Pork meatballs that have been sauteed in olive oil and then simmered in a tomato basil sauce.

Spaghetti and meatballs with pecorino romano cheese, parsley and a tomato and olive salad.

Part of cooking for moi is using store-bought ingredients such as locally made meatballs and a jar of tomato and basil pasta sauce.

Well, I didn't. But I'm sure some young girls would have said, "eww" seeing that. 😜 Being a military brat I didn't discover real BBQ until a senior year in HS when we moved to a Memphis suburb. So for 40 years that's been my influence.

Why are they always gone?

In a small light bowl is a portion of pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Other ingredients include cashews and tomatoes and green onions.

First attempt at this Pineapple fried rice.

Amazed that when I was younger working @ Pizza Hut I could prep for a slammed Friday night like it was nothing. Now, to prep for this one dish seems to take forever. ☹️

Simply unreal how one person can destroy a country with millions insanely in lockstep.

It's a neverending sh*tshow.

French's since I don't use a whole lot of plain yellow mustard so that's typically what I get. It was sloppy because it was at the very dregs of the bottle. So it was squirting more often than making a nice squeeze pattern.

It's tough to distinguish a flavor since it is mixed in w/the pork as well as the cheese & jalapeno. I do have semi-boneless whole quail in the freezer from the same company that I will try soon.

For me it is a 40 plus minute drive each way to get to decent stocked Asian stores. So it's not like I can just on a whim go get Asian veg for a recipe. ☹️

Pork is currently pretty inexpensive. I'm buying and portioning and freezing it right now.
