Agreed! I’ve had several books that I’ve had to abandon cause I couldn’t find the motivation to invest the time. I didn’t like the characters or the plot, so why keep reading?

Oh totally. The one I just finished is like “THE MURDERER IS IN THE HOUSE. Ok we’ll just shoot him and it’s done.”

Funny cause the book that inspired this was a mystery/crime novel written by a woman in the UK 😂

I haven’t read his books but I watched Atonement and that may be my least favorite movie of all time.

I kept hoping there would be some awesome ending to make it all worthwhile… there was not.

It’s always disappointing to finish a book, where it wasn’t terrible enough to stop reading mid-book, but once you’ve finished, it was decidedly not good.
