Besides all the problematic business ethics, Meta's applications have simply been very poor as well and by sticking with them for so long we have rewarded Zuckerberg for mediocrity. It was never about providing a good service to us as users anyway, we were always the products. #NoMoreMetaMovement

The time I spend reading and watching documentaries has increased substantially and that is doing wonders for my overall mood and happiness.

I fully understand why some people, for example artists and small local businesses, are looking for alternatives (e.g Pixelfed) for Facebook and Instagram. Personally, I think I am more similar like you and I am actually content that I do not have a Facebook/Instagram like account anymore.

It is one of the easiest good choices to make in 2025. I have yet to meet someone who did not just feel happiness and relief after nuking their Meta accounts!
