I wish they would invest in Speech Therapy. That would make such a difference to schools, especially Early Years. Along with better pay for EY staff and better funding so ratios could be reduced!

We've just had parents evening and had so many conversations about the lack of activity young children also have outside school. We notice it so much at playtime etc when they don't know what to do.
mashed potato
tayto crisps - cheese and onion
prawns ( especially in garlic butter)
home grown tomatoes
soda bread
in Ireland, the 6th is mother's Christmas. We look after them as a thank you for all they have done during Christmas
have a quiet word with her. Explain that it could be a conflict of interest so she needs to go through the proper channels. Also introduce whole school work life balance communication policy -no messaging between 6 and 8 and none at the weekend
We too have a bike library at school... Adults and children
Today I told 12 TAs their fixed term contracts would be ending in July despite having 3x the NA EHCPs. I have no budget savings to make. It was a devastating day. I question what I am doing. It's certainly not for the good of the children. There is no money to save. So underfunded
Are you primary or secondary?
Imagine how well they could do if they got fair access to TV, news, QT etc!
Ofsted has an βinstitutional disinterestβin why some schools welcome the most vulnerable children, while others βpush them awayβ.

There are so many overlaps between judgements! It's going to come down to inconsistencies between inspectors again. Think I need an extra 20 hours in the day! Also a problem that you can have strong inclusion or strong attainment but you can't have both
Bought 3 copies for school today. Looking forward to sharing it. The English leads were buzzing after your training session yesterday
I agree, it's a wonderful book. I have a half a dozen copies in my office that I give to children when needed
Find one old friend then open their bio. Look at who follows them and used that list . It's the quickest way I found to track most people
No it doesn't matter. Some of ours come in early and leave early. Some stay late. Recommendation is by 8.15 and leave no earlier than 3.30 but I trust staff
Some work better from home. Many have their own childcare needs.
Built a large sandpit for the school. For the 1st week or 2 everyone played. Then our black chn stopped. Spoke to them, said parents wouldn't let them. Spoke to parents, told about sand and hair. I asked for solutions. We now have a large net full of shower caps! Any child can wear one... they do!!!
34 for me... Just started my 23rd year as a HT!
