You're welcome! ☺️
I never would have guessed that you're an extremely amateur photographer! The focus on the owl is amazing, especially since you caught it in flight, and it's nicely framed by other vegetation.
You're welcome, Pirjo! 🌲💚
Beautiful!
Excellent!

Where the deer go easily,
More difficult for me.
Fallible legs of man,
Should bend to earth,
Grateful. Humble. Awed.

It's been quite a week. I could really go for some subalpine. #ForestFriday (from a backpacking trip way back in 2017)

A snowy view over treetops lower on the mountainside, of a large river far below, and steep snow covered mountainsides across the river. A lot of forest cover can be seen on the mountainsides, as well as exposures of steep rocky terrain without trees. The upper mountain tops across the river are masked by actively falling snow at about the same elevation that the photo was taken from. The dark green trees in the foreground have contrasting snowflakes falling in front of them as it snows hard on the mountain.
It snowed fairly heavily later on this hike, almost completely filling my snow tracks I'd made on my way up the mountain.
❄️
I was prepared, so it just added to the lovely adventure of the hike.
That's The #ColumbiaRiver far below, and the steep mountains on the #Oregon side or the Gorge.
A selfie photo of me laying on a large curved pine tree limb above the steep incline of the forest floor which has a lot of patchy snow. Many more green pine trees can be seen ascending the mountain behind me. I am laying down with my feet off frame to the right. I have black hike pants, and bright orange coat, and a red beenie knit cap with a yellow band around it. I'm smiling and have my head turned toward the camera slightly. The big tree limb starts off frame to the right, and makes a gentle sweep upward toward the left, and heads straight up before reaching the left side of the frame. Moss can be seen on the tree under my head. More mosses and some ferns are on the forest floor beneath the big limb. The perspective from the camera is slightly upward. The sky is visible through the trees in the background uphill, and it is a blank featureless overcast.
#ForestFriday brings me to this happy, relaxed moment!
Call it #ForestBathing, #Relaxing, or just being a goof, it felt nice to just be cradled by this tree for a while, after a steep ascent. So I did the selfie, then just sat and listened to the forest sounds. #📷 #🌲#EastCoastKin #Hiking #PNW #vibes
For #ForestFriday a look at the French Broad River through the trees from above Chimney Rocks. A beautiful day for a walk in the woods.

Circle B majestic mossy oaks danced to the rhythm of the wind. Beautiful Florida day with cooling breeze, sunshine, and aromas of wild flowers. Spring, however short, has come to Florida y’all!

Self portrait, the head and neck of a person with long brown hair, full mustache and beard with rounded rectangular glasses. The person is facing the viewer looking toward them largely expressionless, wearing a floppy, green, pointed wizard-style hat. In the background is the suggestion of a mystical forest in pink, sky blue and indigo tones, with a dark trail stretching away into the distance behind the figure.

Flashback to a November hike on conservation land. It was a beautiful fall day in New England. Today I'm honoring those woods and the Giant Pine and Mighty Oak found there. #forestfriday #publiclands #protectedlands
Sunlight filters through the canopy and lights the mossy floor of Watkins Glen. Dead leaves and fallen limbs dot the foreground and background, while small green starbursts flow over the landscape. In the sun, two mushrooms glow golden. A tranquil moment.
