📡 WG-41 ‘A-SMGCS’ met in Budapest, kindly hosted by AustroControl. During the meeting, the group continued the Comment Resolution process for ED-349 ‘Interoperability Standard on Data Exchange for A-SMGCS’, which is expected to be published later this year.
🔐 WG-72 / RTCA SC-216 ‘Aeronautical Systems #Security’ held its Plenary Meeting at FreeFlight Systems in Dallas. The group made solid progress on all deliverables currently under development, with strong coordination across its subgroups.
🤖 WG-114 / SAE G34 ‘Artificial Intelligence’ convened at Collins Aerospace’s premises in Toulouse. The group is actively working on the ED-324 Comment Resolution following the Open Consultation, with the aim of completing it at the next plenary meeting, moving towards publication as planned in Q4.
🛩️ WG 118 ‘Crash-Protected and Lightweight Flight Recorders’ met at EUROCAE headquarters in Paris. The group is currently developing the MASPS for Virtual Flight Recorder Data Recording Services (#VFDR) and is also addressing comments to finalise the MASPS for #AAM aircraft recording systems.

🌍 WG-130 ‘ATM/ANS Supporting Standards’ hosted its 9th Plenary Meeting at #EASA in Brussels. Members discussed the way forward for drafting an Internal Report focused on a workplan for new #standards supporting #ATM/ANS conformity assessment.

📡 WG-126 ‘VCS-ATC Systems Integration for Information Exchange’ met in Vienna, hosted by Frequentis. The group progressed on the new communication standard aimed at enhancing #VCS system interoperability, enabling seamless flight information exchange, and continued efforts on its deliverables.
⚡ WG-113 ‘Hybrid #Electric Propulsion’ held its Plenary Meeting at Flying Whales in Suresnes, France. The group is currently addressing comments on ED-345 “Guidance Material for Durability Substantiation of Electric/Hybrid Propulsion Systems (EHPS)”, with publication expected this year.
🧭 WG-85 / SC-227 #4DNavigation convened at #RTCA’s premises in Washington, D.C., to continue work on the latest update of ED 75 “Minimum Aviation System Performance Standards: Required Navigation Performance for Area Navigation”, planned for publication in 2027.

🌍 EUROCAE WG-119 and #RTCA SC-239 #RadarAltimeters are meeting this week in Paris: the first Working Group ever to hold a meeting in our new offices!

📞 WG-67 Sub-Group 5 ‘ATM VoIP OSED and SPR’ met in Brussels, hosted by @eurocontrol.bsky.social. The subgroup continued its technical work on the OSED development, which has reached a mature stage and will be released for Open Consultation in the coming months.
🌍 WG-111 ‘Airport Collaborative Decision Making #ACDM’ met at Fraport in Frankfurt to continue developing the A-CDM Data Model Specification. The group also visited the new control tower of Terminal 3, planned to open later this year.
💻 WG-117 / SC-240 ‘Aviation #Software Standards’ convened at RTCA’s premises in Washington, D.C., to progress their report outlining planned deliverables and future work for aviation software #standards development.
🏢 WG-122 ‘Virtual Centre’ held its 21st Plenary Meeting at ENAIRE’s offices in Madrid. Discussions focused on the main challenges of implementing Virtual Centres, particularly interoperability and regulatory adaptation, #cybersecurity, and human factors.
